“Your love is my light, and the sun of all my mornings.”
No one else has filled the void in my heart like you have, and my connection with you has yet to be discovered in any other. When I feel empty, when my anxiety corrupts throughout my mind, or when I feel I no longer have a purpose, you come to my rescue with adoration, encouragement, and reassurance that everything will be okay… that I will be okay. Your presence makes me feel present, and it creates this belief that I am enough. Oftentimes I wondered and continue to wonder why do you remain by my side? I have left you. I have ignored you. I have hurt you. At times, I didn’t trust you. Yet, you are still here, loving me unconditionally and motivating me to be the best woman I can be.
Why, God? Why are you so good to me when I am nowhere near deserving?
It is a question I ask myself daily. It amazes me how my imperfections are always acceptable and forgivable to God, but to man it is quite different. This realization simply reveals to me that God is the greatest ally to have because he embraces you for who you are and he will never leave or forsake you. There is no other!
